ITF Live-Streaming

Livestreaming Davis Cup and Wheelchair Tennis in China boosted visibility, diversified content, and strengthened partner exposure.

In September 2023, we partnered with Douyin to livestream the Davis Cup Finals, significantly enhancing the tournament’s visibility in China.

By streaming six key matches on Douyin Sports, we not only promoted the Davis Cup but also boosted engagement with the ITF’s Douyin account. This live-streaming initiative provided a powerful platform for partner exposure, delivering strong metrics and diversifying our operated channel content with dynamic live coverage.

Building on this success, in May 2024, we live-streamed the Wheelchair Tennis World Team Cup on WeChat Channel. Despite the event lacking Chinese team participation, the livestreams performed impressively. The broadcasts attracted new followers to ITF’s account, demonstrating the growing stability and reach of live-streaming technology into China.

This ability to reliably stream content into China has become a crucial asset, allowing us to diversify content offerings and engage with audiences in real-time.

The success of these initiatives highlights the potential of live-streaming as a tool for expanding reach, increasing engagement, and delivering valuable exposure for partners.

Through strategic partnerships and innovative content delivery, we continue to enhance the visibility of global sporting events in the Chinese market.
