Chinese Platform Monetisation Researcher (Part-Time)

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct In-Depth Research on Monetisation Options:
- Analyse and document the various monetisation models and strategies employed by Bilibili, Douyin, RED, and other leading Chinese platforms.
- Explore B2B and B2C Strategies:
- Investigate both business-to-business and business-to-consumer monetisation approaches to provide a comprehensive understanding of the market.
- Identify and Analyse Relevant Case Studies:
- Gather case studies that exemplify successful monetisation efforts, highlighting key factors that contributed to their success.
- Visual Mapping of Monetisation Options:
- Create detailed visualisations to map out monetization options, making complex data easily understandable for stakeholders.
- Reporting and Presentation:
- Prepare thorough reports and present findings during weekly review and progress calls with the team.
Qualifications:
- Language Skills:
- Fluent in Mandarin and proficient in English.
- Research Skills:
- Exceptional analytical skills with experience in conducting deep, granular research.
- Knowledge:
- Some basic familiarity with Chinese digital platforms like Bilibili, Douyin, and RED, including their monetisation mechanisms.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in data visualisation tools and standard research software.
- Communication:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- Part-Time Role:
- Hours aligned with student visa requirements.
- Compensation:
- Hourly rate in line with the London Living Wage.
- Flexibility:
- Remote work with the requirement to attend occasional meetings in our London office (Zone 1).
- Collaboration:
