To celebrate Wimbledon’s rich heritage and connect with the Indian audience, we created a unique fusion of tradition and tennis. We designed a Mysore Silk saree, a traditional garment with deep cultural significance in India, to showcase Wimbledon elements.

The all-white saree, known for its high quality, featured hand-embroidered and hand-painted Wimbledon elements, including tennis rackets and the Men’s and Women’s trophies in gold. The green border highlighted the names of all Wimbledon Singles winners and Indian champions in gold embroidery, celebrating their achievements.

Additional details included hand-painted strawberries on the border to evoke Wimbledon’s iconic strawberries and cream. The centerpiece of the saree featured the Wimbledon logo. Styled by a well-known Instagram influencer, the saree was featured in a video documenting its creation and the influencer wearing it.

Accompanied by a popular local track, the video garnered 13 million views and over 200,000 engagements. It was also featured in India’s leading newspaper, Times Entertainment, which praised it as “the coolest thing on the internet.”

This creative blend of Wimbledon’s iconic elements with Indian cultural heritage successfully generated significant buzz and engagement.
