We have proudly supported the Premier League in its Next Generation Cup initiative, an international tournament aimed at expanding and improving the quality of football in India and beyond. 

This year’s (2024) competition saw young talent from the Indian Super League compete against academy teams from the Premier League and South Africa’s Premier Soccer League. 

Eight Academy teams participated, including: Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Everton, and Tottenham Hotspur, alongside Indian clubs East Bengal FC, Muthoot FA, and Winners Punjab FC, and South Africa’s Stellenbosch FC.

The Next Generation Cup is part of the Premier League’s ongoing commitment to international development, offering a unique platform for young players to showcase their skills, gain valuable experience, and compete against top-tier international clubs. 

Teams representing India were selected through the Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL), a pioneering tournament providing significant game-time to professional clubs.

Our role in this initiative has involved providing strategic guidance on effectively running the tournament, as well as capturing compelling content that highlights the tournament’s community engagement and its impact on football development. 

Through this initiative, the Premier League continues to foster global growth in football, creating opportunities for the next generation of players.
