World Rugby Podcast

We launched World Rugby's first Japanese language podcast, exploring local stories to engage Japan’s growing rugby community.

We partnered with World Rugby to launch their first-ever Japanese language podcast, a key initiative aimed at expanding the sport’s presence in Japan, a rapidly growing market for rugby.

The podcast focuses on engaging the local rugby community by exploring athlete and industry stories, highlighting the evolution of Japan’s domestic league, and discussing the success of Japan’s competitive national team.

As a YouTube-first podcast, the series provides a platform for fans to connect with rugby in a more personal and accessible way. Each episode dives deep into the experiences of prominent athletes and key figures within the rugby world, fostering a deeper understanding of the sport’s impact in Japan and its ongoing growth.

This initiative reflects World Rugby’s commitment to nurturing its presence in Japan, leveraging the podcast format to engage a passionate and expanding fanbase.

By offering content in Japanese and focusing on local stories, the podcast is positioned as a powerful tool to build connections within the community and inspire future generations of rugby players and fans.

With the domestic league continuing to grow and Japan’s national team competing on the global stage, the podcast is a timely and effective way to reinforce the sport’s cultural relevance and support its long-term development in Japan.
